thinking i made a bad choice doesn't mean i regret doing so

i never planned to come uot. actually chose mcmaster over uoft :P which made my dad freak out. but now i'm here, 'cause i got rejected by mcgill D:

don't like this school. it's like back to the same rgs sentiments. awesome friends, but just disgusting administration system. but at least uoft has good profs!

but i don't regret coming here :D manage to join so many interesting stuff, though the number of friends hasn't exceeded my ten fingers, but the amount of programs offered is just amazing! still deciding what subject POSts i should take next year (majors)... i think most prob doing global health, which focuses more on the developing countries. I always find the inequality between countries so obscene. i'm not the idealist that think inequality or poverty can be eradicated. but there are obvious flaws in the global systems that are just constantly trying to put down the less privileged. not as if humans are gonna be on earth forever. we will face extinction. on a smaller time frame, all of us will die anyways, so what for grab all the privileges and wealth. all the selfishness makes me sick. talking about all this just makes me so disappointed, we have seemed to moved backwards though technology has improved so much.

second major? environmental conservation? i'm steering towards animal conservation. i can't believe people are still eating shark fin, or buying stuff from the black market which do not even have any medicinal value (contrary to the popular beliefs). the number of animals on the list listed as endangered or extinct is just staggering. you may say it's survival of the fittest, if so, why not just let sick people die. seriously... i don't get why people think homo sapiens are freakin awesome, that we have consciousness and whatsoever. homo sapiens ARE animals.

i don't think i can make a huge difference to the whole, but at least i wanna try to convince the people around me, and do my own little part in making the world a better place, for the animals and the future generations

for my piz - chinese new year!

omgosh i think this is the first time i played so much before an exam. hmmm, played as in go out and slack! back in singapore, it's more of going for squash, piano etc etc. but OMGOSH i went out on friday, saturday and sunday! and actually slacked my whole monday away too when psych is on tues :P

new year resolution: not to spend money on birthdays, but instead to make diy stuff for my wonderful friends!

chinese new year resolution was to save moneyz. spending too much of my dad's money D: i'm just very unhappy about how uoft sucks so much money out of students. RARRR. SO, partly because that my dad is gonna be unhappy if i have too much meals left (210 meals left currently, started out with 330 meals in sept 2010), i have been eating in residence every meal. omgosh sad life. good food, but can't hang out with friends for meals! and have to wake up early in the morning just for breakfast D: luckily bethany (my singaporean floormate) is here to have meals with me :D always end up talking over dinner/lunch for 1 hour :P

soooo i guess i'm gonna try to finish uni in 3 years! wanna get outta uoft soon, and i guess that saves me some money too! HOWEVER that means i'm not gonna be able to go back to singapore during summer D: i will miss my cute rgs friends D: CRIES.

whoosh back to the cny celebrations!! pardon my incoherent-ness. psych making me going psycho.

FRIDAY: omgosh played squash :D:D then went for the MSSA dinner with beth, zinc and fiona :D knew a few other people there. then went back to hart house to play card games. games are like the best way to get to know people!! everyone in mssa is just so nice :D and so homey :D

SATURDAY: studying psych.... and then yongsheng and joshua came over after dinner to eat the cny goodies my mummy and daddy sent over :D bethany came to my room too!! omgosh hanged out till 2am :P it was fun just slacking and talking crap, besides the fact that they insists that the poster with the eyes (samurai-looking person) was a GUY. and i always thought it was a girl! HOW FREAKY. i may take it off soon. whoosh. and i can't believe people don't know that the pink part of bouganvillae is THE LEAF. LOL and yong sheng actually crossed the nanyang-hci bridge for dunnoe how many years seeing the bouganvillae... -.-

SUNDAY: went out with EVERYONE :D but went to study psych after the dim sum lunch while the rest went to watch green hornet. then had dinner at chinatown! and it was snowing fluffy snow!! snowballed here and there (: then went to wayne's place to play pictonary and charades till 1am. omgosh like 3 consecutive days of fun! awesome :D

MONDAY: hehheh which is today!! omgosh i love the kindergarten kids. though it's hard to teach them, playing with them is another story. went out into the snow and played with them :D they make awesome snowman, they were actually teaching me how to make one!! hehe. and the little boy called nathan was wearing this shirt with hamtaro on it!! and i asked him if he liked it. and he pointed to it and said that he likes it. and pointed to me and said 'i like you too!' OMGOSHHH. melts. SOOO CUTEE. and he gave me a little hug!! whoosh! soooooo cute!! :D:D he's the cutest thing ever!! and went to other classes, since i switch classes every 40 mins. everytime i switch classes, some of the kids will be so sad and will come hug me!! omgosh i bet i got like at least 10 hugs today :D hehheh. went back to uot, passed pete some bagua, and then skipped tutorials to review psych... but ended up going to build snowman with renhui, joshua and yong sheng! the snow wasn't really packing snow, but we managed to build one!! shall upload pics if renhui send me some :D:D cold but fun :D my first real big snowman! :D:D right in the middle of uot :D

TUESDAY: doomsday. psych.
